And for the more adventurous ... Why not seek some of the best fishing to be had in North Wales. With a number of excellent waters and a wide range of fishing to be had from Brown and Rainbow Trout to Salmon and Chub. Here are a number of other locations within easy driving of the Park.
The River Mawddach for Sea & Brown Trout and Salmon
Arguably the finest Sea Trout river in Wales, you can fish the lower beat’s of Dolgellau if you purchase a day ticket at Pughs Garage.
River Alwen for Salmon, Brown Trout & Grayling.
This river has Brown trout to 7lb in its small flow the fly life is staggering and it is a stalkers paradise.
The River Mawddach for Sea & Brown Trout and Salmon
A very productive summer salmon stretch has been augmented with stocking of Brown trout, good grayling and large chub to 7lb
